Biography

Joseph was the son of Benjamin Treon and Ann Elisabeth Roth.[1][2]

Research Notes

15 Jan 1851 there is a note that the estate of Joseph Tryon entered into probate and, the widow having waived her right to be appointed administratrix, Peter Schott was appointed administrator, together with Benjamin Trion (who could be Joseph's father) and John L (or S) Lutscha[?]. This appears immediately below an entry with the same date for Sarah Trion, whose administrators were Benjamin Trion and Abraham Kuntzelman. Both are from Jackson Township, Northumberland County.[3]

The mention of a widow means he was married, but to whom? Son Samuel's death certificate lists mother as Sarah Shutt: could her surname be a variant of Schott, as in Peter Schott, administrator of Joseph's estate?

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:
