Biography

Bartolome Trevino (also Bartholome, De Trevino, De Trebino, Trebino)

Bartolome married (1) Ana Maria Garcia on 13 April 1733 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. ^[1]

He was the original Grantee of the Spanish Land grant known as "Porcion 07" in Camargo, Tamaulipas. He, his wife and children are listed on the July 12th, 1757 census, Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He also served as surveyor of the Camargo Porciones (Ranch at Paso El Azucar in 1757) granted by Spain in 1767.

They were the parents of the following children:

1. The information listed conflicts with information from other works such as John D. Inclan's, "Descendents of Captain Francisco Baez de Benavides And Dona Isabel Martinez Guajardo". [1]
2. Inclan has "Ana Maria Garcia" listed as "Ana Maria Garcia-Guajuardo" married on April 12, 1747 to "Jose Bartolome De Trevino-Leal. (See number 80). Inclan also lists Ana Maria as married three times and the mother of 22 children.
3. So far, only one marriage record for Ana Maria Garcia has been found. She married on 13 April 1733 to Bartolome Trevino in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon (as listed above and sourced below). Records for only 5 children for Ana Maria Garcia and Bartolome Trevino have been found.
4. Another discrepancy is that records for "Bartolome Trevino" are showing marriages to "Maria Guerra" and "Ma. Bernarda Segunda Siller" with children resulting from both marriages. However, the question that has to be answered is which Bartolome Trevino do these records belong?
5. Mr. Inclan has been researching his family since the early 1970's. His work is quite impressive but should be verified through one's own research.
