Donald was born in 1938 to parents Howard and Pearl Trew. He lived in Athens, Tennessee and can be seen on the 1940 US Census there with his parents.^[1]

He married Shirley McHone on 9/5/1959 in McMinn County, Tennessee.^[2]

Donald Howard Trew, 81, a resident of Decatur, TN passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his home. He was born in Athens, TN on May 20, 1938 a son of the late Howard & Pearl Trew. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Shirley McHone Trew and one son Tony Trew. He leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Mickey Trew, special niece and nephew Kristie & Jerry McHone, one brother Larry Trew of Athens, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. Donald was inaccurately listed as deceased when I adopted this profile. Upon trying to find sources for him today I stumbled across the fact that this man had in fact been alive until just 20 days ago. Trew-271 14:15, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
