Biography

George Albert TRICKER was the second child and first son born to George and Florence TRICKER, he was born in Stowmarket, Suffolk between 1st September and the 31st of December. Or in other words, the Dec Quarter 1879. The registration district is in Stow, Suffolk. ^[1]

The 1891 shows George at 11 years of age at the home of his parents, George and Florence along with two of his three siblings. ^[2]

The 1901 Census has George aged 21 years still living at home with his parents, George & Florence and also his younger brother Charley. George is 21 years old and working as a labourer in a factory and Charley, now aged 16 years, is a labourer in a Timber-yard. They are living in Childers Road, which is in the Parish of St Peter and St Mary Stowmarket. With the two sisters not being there most likely indicates they are working as domestic servants somewhere else. ^[3]

George must have visited his sister Ellen when she was working in Hackney. That is the only reason I can see how he would meet, and then end up marrying a young lady there. He met Theresa May BEAUMONT and they married at Hackney during the September quarter of 1904. ^[4]

The 1911 Census is the first time we see George's family after his marriage to Theresa. At the time of the census they had three children, Jack aged 5, Elsie aged 4 and Dick aged 2 years. George was now 31, a labourer and they live in the Parish of Stowmarket. His wife Theresa is 27 years old and was born in Barking Tye, Suffolk. Their three children were all born in Stowmarket, Suffolk. ^[5]

George passed away at the age of 78 years at Gipping, Suffolk, He died in the December quarter of 1957. ^[6]
