In 1851, George was living with family in Heydon, Hertfordshire.[2]
With his parents William and Rebecca and siblings Mary, Joel, Susan, Maria, John, Ann, James, Sarah and Susan, George departed Southampton on "Constant" 8 November 1854 and arrived Portland, Victoria, Australia on 22 February 1855.[3]
He married Emma Wright in 1866 in Colony of Victoria[4].
George died on 11 January 1916 in Warrnambool, Victoria, aged 74 years.[5] His remains were buried on 12 January 1916 in Warrnambool Cemetery[6].
