Captain Thomas Triplett served with Virginia Line during the American Revolution.

Thomas Triplett Military Date: 1 Nov 1777 Military Place: Virginia Continental Rank: Captain Military Unit: Colonel William Grayson's Regiment. Notes: in Virginia recruiting. Served 7 months, 3 days. Then Dec 1777 on furlough in Virginia. Etc.[1]

Thomas Triplett was Captain in Grayson's Additional Continental Regiment and received bounty lands for his services (Book 3 page 36,land office) He received 4,666 2/3 acres of land. He and his family moved to Bourbon county ,ky in 1790 or 1792 and died Feb,1833

Although profiles Triplett-777 and Triplett-1453 represent different men, their records of service in the Revolutionary War may be conflated. Further research is needed.

I am confused, why is this Thomas Triplett linked as a son of William Triplett, when in record shown in Image 1, it states Thomas Triplett is the son of Francis Triplett
