1The first organization of this place was the Freetown Plantation in 1802. In 1804 it was organized as a town called Fairfax, which was afterwards changed to Lygonia, and lastly, in 1824, to Albion. The township was first settled sometime prior to 1690, at which date it contained 6 families. [3]
2 A Stephen Tripp was also found in 1810 and 1820 census in Fairfax as head of household. Perhaps a brother to Thomas. Thomas was not listed in 1820 census.
