Katharina (Trott) Markheim migrated from Russia (German) to Wisconsin, USA.
Family #80 in the 1897 Grimm census.
Katharina Trott was born about 1900 in Grimm, Russia, to parents Christian Jakob Trott and Elisabeth (Fritzler) Trott. Her birth year is based on her age when she immigrated to the United States in 1911. I am including her family's last census listing in Grimm, Russia, so descendants can see who she is descended from.
Note that in this census, their surname is spelled Drott, but that is a census taker error. Their surname was spelled Trott. Her father was Child #1, Christian [Jakob] Drott/Trott, and she was the next child born after Grandchild #4, Maria.

Katharina Trott and her family immigrated to the United States in 1911. Her widowed grandmother also accompanied the family. They boarded the S.S. Willehad in Bremen, Germany, on 23 November 1911 and arrived in Baltimore on 09 December 1911. After staying briefly with relative Christian Trott (not her father) in Cincinnati, Ohio, the family settled in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Note that on the passenger manifest list attached to this profile, her surname was misspelled as Drott.
She married Jacob Markheim before 1918. That year, her husband filed a petition for U.S. citizenship while housed on a military base in Houston, Texas. His petition says he was living at Camp Logan in Houston. The petition goes on to state that his wife Katie was still living in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. A copy of his petition is attached to this profile.
This record helps show that the family was still living in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, in the 1940s. I haven't been able to find a census record for them yet, and suspect it is because their surname was misspelled.
