Albert Edwin Trott was a Test cricketer for both Australia and England. And he was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1899.

Albert was born in 1873[2]. According to the Birth Index he is the son of Adolphus Henry and Mary Anne (nee Stephens) Trott.
He married Jessie Aveletta Rice in 1897[3] at his mother's house in Carlton[4], which according to Neal[5] was a terrace in Cardigan Street.
He made his Test Cricket debut against the touring English team at Adelaide from January 11 - 15, 1895 and his last for his adopted country England against South Africa at Cape Town from April 01 - 04, 1899.
He died at his own hand in late July 1914[6]. Aet 40y.
Albert Edwin Trott is buried at the Willesden New Cemetery in Willesden, London Borough of Brent, Greater London, England.
