Biography
Ida can be found on the 1880 US federal census, age 7 years old and living with her parents Jasper and Elizabeth Trotter in Moreland, Scott County, Missouri. Jasper was the local sheriff. [1]

On the 1910 state census James, his wife Ida, their 5 children, and James' mother Susan, are all living together in Salem, Dunklin, Missouri. James is shown as a 49 year old farmer, born in Tennessee, his wife Ida is age 37, born Missouri, and his mother Susan is age 84, born Tennessee. One of the children is shown as Marvin Oliver, age 15, born Missouri. [3]
