Biography

John was born about 1791. He was the son of Crispus Trowbridge. He passed away about 1877.[1]

During the War of 1812, John Trowbridge served as a private in the 5th Lincoln and 2nd York Militia. John Strowbridge served in the 5th Lincoln from October 17 to 24, 1812 in Captain John Smith’s Company. [2]

John Strobridge served from November 25 to December 16, 1812 in the same company. [3]

John Strowbridge served from May 20 to 24, 1813 in Captain Daniel Young’s Company. [4]

A John Showbidge served from December 17 to 23, 1813 in the 2nd York in a detachment under the command of Ensign Henry Beasley. [5]
