Biography

When Shirley Louise Troxell was born in 1938, in Kentucky, United States, her father, Clay William Troxell, was 26 and her mother, Virginia Catherine Sorrell, was 18.

Clay V Troxell was renting a house on US Hwy 60 in Franklin County, Kentucky on 13 April 1940 when Mr. Ben Taylor Quinn visited with them on behalf of the Census Department. Clay was paying $12.00 a month in rent. He was driving a truck delivering coal to homes for heat and cooking. Shirley is the oldest child of Clay and Virginia at the age of 2. Her little brother, Jr. is 8 months old. Clay has completed the 5th grade and Virginia has finished the 8th grade. Clay made $624.00 in 1939 in wages.

Shirley's family has moved to Scott County to an apartment on Newtown Road within the last year, prior to the 1950 Census being taken. Mary F Miller gathered the information on April 20th. Shirley is 12 now. Her father is farming for a living now. He had made $1600.00 in 1949.

She married Calvin Risque Columbia on 6 November 1954, in Woodford, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son.

Shirley exchanged wedding vows with Carlos Ray Thompson Sr. She and Carlos both were living in Frankfort when they ventured down south to Jellico, Campbell, Tennessee. Rev. George L Buchanan served them as the officiant of their marriage.

Shirley married Living Christian in Campbell County, Tennessee on 3 November 1981. Both of them listed Midway as their place of residence. Rev. George L Buchanan officiated their marriage.

Shirley would later marry Living Rose.

She died in 2017, in Kentucky, United States, at the age of 79.
