Lee-Anne Marie Kling (nee Trudinger), was born 3 May 1963 in Memorial Hospital North Adelaide, South Australia to Clement David Trudinger and Marie Trudinger (nee Gross). She grew up in the Adelaide seaside suburb of Somerton Park. Her father was a primary school teacher who became a deputy principal and her mother was a dressmaker.

In 1984 Lee-Anne spent three months travelling in Japan.

In 1986 Lee-Anne graduated from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and Japanese. She trained as a high school teacher at the South Australian College of Advanced Education receiving a Graduate Diploma of Education majoring in Japanese and English in 1987. She then moved to Melbourne, Victoria and taught Japanese and English at Nazareth College in Noble Park North, Victoria in 1987 and 1988.

In September 1987 she married Anthony Kling whom she had met while studying at Adelaide University.

Late in 1988, Lee-Anne left teaching to pursue a writing career. She joined Fusion Australia (a Christian youth and community organisation) and From 1988 to 1990, worked as a Research Officer publishing three research reports of youth needs in towns in Victoria and southern New South Wales.

Lee-Anne became a mother to William Anthony Kling on 1 October 1990, and then 19 February 1993, she gave birth to Nathaniel Richard Kling. Having two sons sparked her interest in family history as did her aging aunt who passed on her box of family history research to Lee-Anne.

In 1996 Lee-Anne returned to teaching, part-time emergency teaching Japanese to Primary School children.

After eleven years in Melbourne, in 1998, Lee-Anne, Anthony and family returned to Adelaide to live. That same year the family travelled to Europe for a month. Lee-Anne and her family have lived now in the same home down south of Adelaide since 2000.

Another trip to Europe in 2014, this time to Bavaria from where Lee-Anne's Trudinger ancestors com., Also visiting second and third cousins living in Germany, reignited Lee-Anne's resolve to tackle the challenge and begin the task of researching her family history.

Lee-Anne is an artist who belongs to the Marion Art Group. She is also a self-published author of two books on the Amazon shelves--The Hitch-hiker and Mission of the Unwilling.

Hi Lee-Anne Trudinger here. I am interested in researching the Trudinger family history and have been doing this off and on for the past 20 years. I find Wikitree's value system refreshing and agree with their mission and will certainly keep the nine simple rules.
