Biography

Ernest Truelove was born in Hampshire, England.

Charles was born in Forton Gostore (a village and a chapelry in Alverstoke), Hampshire, in 1881.^[1] He was the son of William Truelove and Emma McLean. He was enumerated in the 1891 census ^[2] as an eight year old residing with his family in Walmer, Kent. In 1901 ^[3] He was living with his family in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. He stated he was eighteen, single, and a "Machine Minder".

Ernest married Florence Buck in 1907.^[4] The marriage was registered in the second quarter in Nottingham. The couple would have at least two children. Ernest was enumerated in the 1911 census ^[5] residing with Florence and their two children, Ernest Charles, and Frances May in Nottingham.

Although no record for his death was found, family records indicate Erneat passed away on September 19, 1916 (Location unknown).
