Biography

Birth

Samuel was born on 18 June 1738 in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut. [1]

NOTE: The Vital Records of Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut found in the Barbour Collection of Connecticut Vital Records has made a transcription error in listing the children of William and Martha Truesdell as being the children of William and Martha Tredwell. Luckily, the previous source made a correct transcription of the original town records.

In 1755, Samuel being of lawful age made the choice of his brother Thomas Truesdell of Danbury to be his guardian.[2]

Residence

Samuel lived in what is now Hillsdale, New York. He owned the Leroy Hunt farm.
