Elijah Levi Truett/Truitt/Trewhitt was born about 1720 in Virginia, the son of Joseph Trewhitt (1700–1756) and Priscilla Loftin (1706–1755).
Elijah married Rachel Mary Polk (1735–1766). Their children included: Joseph Truitt (1745–1816) Phoebe (Trewhitt) Foster (1748-1808) Sarah Truett (1760– ) Elijah Truitt (Truett) (1762–1812)
Elijah passed away about 1776 in North Carolina.
1770 North Carolina Early Census spelled name as "Truett".
Possibly George Jr; son of George Trevit or Truitt, Quaker aka Society of Friends, Virginia Yearly Meeting, George Truitt (Sr) was one of the first members c 1656-7 Accomack
