Biography

OBITUARY: Richard A. Trujillo, age 65, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by family in Albuquerque on February 20, 2017. He is survived by his loving family, first wife Glenda Picchione and their children: Jennifer Hall and husband Joseph Sr., Mario Trujillo and wife Angela, Ricardo Trujillo and fiancee Amber. His second wife Georgia and children: Latasha Gore, Eric Gore and wife Donna, and Destiny Trujillo; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alfonso Trujillo Jr., Estevan Trujillo, Danny Trujillo, and Michael Trujillo; sisters, Lillian Peters, Yolanda Martinez and Martha Trujillo; many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Martha, brothers Orlando, Albert, Benjamin and Bobby, and sisters Magdalena, Veronica and Viola. Richard was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. He served in the US Marines and earned a National Defense Service Medal. He retired as a Mail Carrier from the United States Postal Service after 30 years. He was known for his passion of all types of music which influenced many around him. He enjoyed writing music, singing and playing the guitar in his family band "The RAT Race". Richard was always there to help anyone in need before his own needs and always had music on in his home. A special thank you to Heartland Hospice in Albuquerque for their loving care and support and to Salazar Mortuary for all of the arrangements. Richard's life celebration will begin with a viewing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am at Salazar Mortuary. Richard will be laid to rest at 1:30 pm at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Reception to follow at the Postal Union Hall located at 123 Quincy NE. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Michael Trujillo, Leondro Trujillo, Joseph Hall Jr., Christopher Trujillo, Nicholas Trujillo and Andrew Gore. Honorary Pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Ashley Hall, Jazmine Hall, Haley Trujillo and grandsons Julian Gore, Javon Gore, and Eric Gore Jr.
