Charles was born about 1908. He was the son of Frederick Truman and Jessie Conway. [1]
In 1935 he was living at 205 Ferry Road, Christchurch with his parents. His occupation was recorded as Labourer.
He married Amy Elizabeth Agassiz in 1938.
His name appears in the New Zealand World War II Ballot Lists; he was a pumice-worker of 12 Rochester Street.
Charles died in 1942 at the age of 34.
