Biography
Digory was born around 1782. He was baptised as the son of William Truscott and Margery Bennetto on the 15th March 1782 at St. Stephens in Brannel, Cornwall.[1][2][3]
Digory TRUSCOTT (Parish of St. Michael Caerhays, bachelor, millwright) married Betsey GOODFELLOW (Parish of Gorran, spinster) on the 18th August 1821 at St. Michael Caerhays, Cornwall. The witnesses were William LIDGEY and Edward PAUL. Betsey married with the consent of her parents.[4]
He immigrated to South Australia with his wife and four children on the Henry Porcher arriving 1/7/1838.
Online death record are under the name Segory Truscott and list his age as 80, parents William Truscott and Elizabeth Mellow, birthplace Cornwall.
