Thanks for looking, Elaine. As you probably saw, my great x3 grandfather, Henry Fothergill, didn't know his birthplace so I'll keep an eye out for any Fothergill links to Staffordshire!

Hi Elaine

Delighted to see your Fothergill (England) tag! I can't see any of your ancestors yet but, maybe when you have the time, you could check out the Fothergills in my tree and tell me if we share any ancestors? (Just click on my name and then choose the green Family Tree & Genealogy Tools tab on the profile.)

Greetings Elaine!

I am happy to congratulate you for becoming a full member of the WikiTree community! To help save you time, energy and frustration, please start with our New Member How-To pages.

Click the green Tag on your top right of your profile page and see others following the same things you are researching. The more Tags (20 is the maximum) you add that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options.

Welcome to the WikiTree family! Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Greeter

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section of your profile page.

Hello Elaine,

To Volunteer just add any surnames of interest into Tags so that you have one tag for each surname and location. By doing that, when you are confirmed as a full member you can then click on those tags, and you'll be taken to a page where you'll see other genealogists who are also following those surnames and locations. I really encourage you to explore the connections it helps you make. :-)

Don't forget to Check the Volunteer Box

Also Note There is a button to click at the bottom of the page that says Add tags and Volunteer. It is rectangular.

When you have done that one of our Greeters will confirm you as a full member so that you can Edit your Profile and enter information into WikiTree.
