Robert Tryon was born 22 Jul 1727 [1], the son of Charles Tryon and Mary Shirley and was baptized 7 Aug 1727 in Mickelham, Surrey parish church.[2]
He was appointed chaplain to Frederick Keppel, Bishop of Exeter on 22 Mar 1763.[3] He served as rector of the parish of Seaton in Rutland County until 22 Apr 1774, which is given as his date of death in the church records[4]
He married a woman named Rebecca Riddlington (who died September 11, 1806 at St. Cross near Winchester, England) and they had at least one son, Charles, who died in infancy, and a daughter Mary (died February 5, 1849 at Glaston in Rutland at the age of 88 and is buried in the same grave as her mother).
Robert is buried in South Audley Chapel, London.[5]
