Biography
Ora Franklin Pierce was the third child and third son of Abel Tryon and Esther Shepard. He was named as deceased in several October 7, 1888 newspaper notices seeking heirs of his father Abel.
He married widow Susan Round or Rounds [widow of ____ Ward] Aug 9, 1866 in Lyons, Ionia Co., MI. That she had been previously married to ____ Ward is shown by the 1870 and 1880 censuses which list three step-children of Ora's, all surnamed Ward, living in the household.
Ora died of consumption April 20, 1881 Lyons Twp., Ionia Co., MI[1][2][3]
