Raymond was the eldest child and first son of Lethan Tryon and Louise Jones.

Raymond L. Tryon October 30, 1927 - November 3, 2015 Oceanside Raymond L. Tryon passed away on November 3, 2015 in Vista, CA. He was born in Marathon, NY to Lee and Louise Tryon. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Cortland SUNY and joined the Marine Corps. He married Janis I. Eggleston and had two daughters, Nancy and Sally. He and his family moved to Oceanside, CA where he finished his Marine Corps term. He later worked for the City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation as a Recreation Supervisor. He spent 29 wonderful years with the city and he retired in 1990. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sally Tryon McDonald, his younger brother Ralph Tryon, and his son-in-law Emil P. Marquardt. His daughter Nancy Tryon Marquardt of Oceanside, CA, granddaughter Janalle Marquardt Silva and spouse David Silva, and three great-grandchildren of Fort Lewis, WA survive him.A memorial service will be held on April 4, 2016 for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in his name, Ray Tryon. Published in The San Diego Union Tribune on Mar. 11, 2016.^[1]
