Aylmer was born in 1909, the second son of George Tryon and Averil Vivian. [1][2]
In 1911 he and his brother George were living in the Manor House, Durnford House, Great Durnford in Wiltshire under the care of children's nurse Sarah Ann Stemp.[3]
He attended Sandhurst as a cadet in 1939 and 1940.[4]
He was the author of a number of books: Quiet Waters, Kingfisher Mill.
He died January 25, 1996, at age 86, unmarried.[5][6]
