Michael was born in Los Angeles, CA. His roots on his mother's side are Scottish/Irish/English and on his fathers side are English/German/Bohemian. He was raised all over the place and settled in San Diego where he went to college and finally landed in Encinitas, on the coast just north of San Diego. Along the way he managed to fly hang gliders for nearly 30 years, climb some pretty tall mountains, dive to some pretty deep parts of the ocean in a variety of submarines, and work in Antarctica, Alaska, Japan, Turkey, and a bunch of other places. He also accumulated a PhD, a wife and two children, some fast cars and motorcycles, and a house he designed himself. Oh, and he is also interested in genealogy (it's his mother's fault).
Have you taken a DNA test for genealogy? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.
Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

This of course reminds me that I need to set up a page or section here pointing to various DNA Surname efforts relevant to Tryon genealogy.
Enjoy the weekend!
