William, son of Chester Tryon and Elizabeth Thompson, married Mary Minerva Walterhouse, daughter of William Walterhouse, on 14 December 1887 in Thetford, Genessee Co., Michigan.[1] Marriage record has his mother's maiden name as Thompson and his birth place as Rochester, New York. Mary Minerva was listed as born in Canada about 1859.

I've just seen another record that has him born in Monroe County, which suggests it's not the Rochester in Ulster County. Unfortunately, the family seems to have moved around a lot -- in 1861 they were in Canada, and by 1870 they were in MIchigan. But Rochester, Monroe Co., makes more sense than the other Rochester!
