He was born 24 Apr 1893 to Lewis Tryon and Annie Martin.[1]
His birth date is confirmed by his World War I draft registration document (there are two)[2][3] and his World War II draft registration document.[4] The fact that he was twice registered for World War I draft may be because of his occupation: sailor on a steam ship on one of the registrations (dated September), fisherman on the other (dated June).
Married Agnes Elizabeth Lavake (1894 – 1983). Children:
Aileen b abt 1913 MI
Melvin b abt 1917 MI
He died in June of 1964.[5] His gravestone says "Captain" and the memorial says he was captain of the Agnes E.
