Biography

Prudence was born about 1833. She is the daughter of Gardner Tryon and Catharine Brown. She married John D. Goddard on 28 Aug 1847. The last child was born about 1859 and neither John nor Prudence are found in the 1860 census. The children are living with relatives. Prudence remarried in 1861 to Frederick Helmold. She married third to Daniel Kiley in 1867. By the 1870 census the children are all on their own or still living with relatives, not with Prudence.

George is also triple counted in 1870 at his uncle Henry Tryon's household and uncle James Tryon's household.
