Biography

Irvon was born May 28, 1879 in Empire Township, Ellsworth County, Kansas. He was the son of Henry Tryon and Marium Glendenning. He passed away in 1919 in Pueblo, Colorado.

Research Notes

In the 1880 census, his father's name is written as Richard, not Henry, which looks like a clerical error. His mother's name is written correctly as Fanny (for Frances), but the birthplace for both Henry and Fanny are incorrect and contradict the parent birthplaces of their son, which are incorrect as well. They are the only Tryons in Empire Township, Ellsworth County, Kansas in 1880, the same place Henry and his mother Laura were living in the 1875 census as the only Tryons.
