Research Notes
Mary is very unlikely to have been the daughter of Elizabeth, wife of Charles Tryon, as Elizabeth would have been only about 13 years old at the time Mary was born.
She appears as married together with her father, grandmother, and two very young brothers, and with three small children surnamed Roberts (all grandchildren of Charles E. Tryon, head of household) in the 1880 census.
