In 1942 he was living in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska and working at the Thomas Nichols Armour Packing Company. His wife was named Janette.
He died in Ramsey County, Minnesota in 1964.[1] His mother's maiden name according to the record was Dixon.

Ezell was African-American. His paternal grandfather had, given his birth year and place, very probably been born into slavery.
