He enlisted in the US Army on 30 Sep 1942 and served until 3 Oct 1945. He was married at the time of enlistment.[2]
In 1960 he appears in voters' lists in Norwalk, Los Angeles Co., California, at the same address as a Mrs. Lina Tryon.[3]
He died in Washington County, New York in 1980. He resided in Argyle, but his last benefit was paid to an address in Granville.[4][5]

Gerard Tryon
SALEM—Gerard Tryon, 70, died Thursday (Aug. 14, 1980) in St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after a long illness.
He was born in Elizabeth N.J., Sept. 16, 1909, son of Gerard [sic] and Helen (Donovan) Tryon.
Mr. Tryon was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Salem American Legion Post 812 and the Greenwich VFW.
There are no known survivors.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem with the Rev. Liam Condon, pastor of the Holy Cross Church in Salem, officiating.
