Biography

Anna was born about 1736. She was the daughter of Rowland Tryon. She married James Slason (1736-1759) in 1754 and they had son James 1755-1761, daughter Prudence 1758-?, son Rowland 1759-1768, and daughter Mary 1759-1788. She passed away about 1761. Anna and James may have died early as children Mary and Rowland were assigned Rowland Tryon, father of Anna, as guardian in 1768 [1].

Research Notes

Evidence for the existence of Anna, her husband, and children Mary and Rowland is good but the details are not from good resources. More work could help.

"James Slason, born July (or January) 6, 1736, at Stamford, Fairfield county, Connecticut. Married Anna ____. He died about 1759, and she died before 1761, both at Stamford." [2]

Children of JAMES SLASON and ANNA SLAWSON are:

i. JAMES SLASON, b. Stamford, CT.
ii. MARY SLASON, b. Stamford, CT.
iii. PRUDENCE SLASON, b. Stamford, CT.
iv. ROWLAND SLASON, b. Abt. 1759, Stamford, CT. Rowland served in the 9th Reg't Conn. Militia but later became a "rabid" Tory, although he was allowed to keep his home after the War. He went insane and died unmarried.. [1]
