NOTE ON NAME: His name sometimes appears as Harris Francis Tryon. He appears on some records as Harrison and on some as Harris.
Son of Charles Tryon and Mary Fitzgerald.[1] Birth date, place and parents confirmed in this and in World War II draft registration.[2]
He served in the Army in World War II. According to his record he enlisted on 7 Dec 1941 and served within the USA until 17 Feb 1942. He then served abroad from 18 Feb 1942 to 11 Jul 1944. He returned to the USA and continued to service from 12 Jul 1944 to 13 Jan 1945 and was separated from the service on that last date at Fort Dix, New Jersey.[3]
He died in 1975 and is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia.[4][5]
