Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
The 1801 John Tryon is this one Tryon-3771. It is a father-son pair of Johns, both printers. I'm fairly certain they are the same Johns who are listed a painters (likely census mistake, a vs r). John Jr. has brother Thomas who is married to Emma. Mary is possibly Anzoletta's nickname or middle name?
A John Tryon b abt 1800/1 married to Mary Tryon b abt 1804/5 with probable son John Tryon b abt 1826 and probable grandson Thomas Tryon b abt 1845 appear living in Newtown, Queens, New York in the 1860 census which was, however, enumerated on 15 July 1860, three months after his purported death. Elder John listed as printer, no occupation listed for the younger John, Thomas listed as clerk. The birth date of the elder John in the census is 20 years off the supposed birth year of this John -- but are we perhaps looking at more than one John here?
