Biography

Frankie was the only child of her father Howard Maurice Tryon and his wife Gussie Stafford, and was born in Harrison Twp., Knox, Indiana.^[1] Her father died six months after her birth and her mother later remarried, to ____ Taylor (but see research note).

Frankie married Robert Frank Krause. Children:

William Edward Krause

She died in 1990 of myelomonocytic leukemia in Jasper, Indiana.^[2][3]

Her birth and death dates are confirmed by her social security applications and claims index entry, but the birthplace is given as Monroe City.^[4]

Research Note

The 1930 census shows that Frankie and her mother Gussie were living in the household of William R. Burke, husband of Gussie. The name Taylor, which appears on Frankie's death certificate shows her mother remarried a second time, to ____ Taylor.
