John was born in 1928. He was the son of Clifford Tryon and Maude Myrtle Dameron. He married Jeannine M Thomason in 1968 and they had children John Tryon Jr., Vicki (Tryon) Boss, Theresa (Tryon) Wright, and Lori (Tryon) Saunders. Jeannine died in 1976. He married Mary Lee (Milliman) Campbell in 1981. He passed away in 2012.
