His older brother Captain Richard was also KIA, and also served in the Rifle Brigade, as had their father before them.

1901 Moulsham St. John, Chelmsford, Essex, England, where he was a boarder.[7] He was working as an engineer's clerk and was single at the time.
Death
Captain Henry Tryon participated in the Battle of the Somme and was Killed in Action in the vicinity of Thiepval, Somme, on 15 Sep 1916, just prior to the capture of the village. He is remembered at Thiepval memorial. Although a member of the 15th Battalion, The Rifle Brigade, at the time of his death he was attached to the 8th Battalion and is remembered on both unit panels.[8]

This Henry seems to disappear from the English records after 1901, but the Henry in Canada in 1911, though similar in age, does not appear to be the same person due to a a discrepancy of at least two months in the birth dates.
