Biography

Sarah (Tubb) Lee was born in Hampshire, England.

Sarah Tubb was baptised in Bishops Sutton, Hampshire on 29 November 1782. She was the daughter of John Tubb & Anne.^[1]

James Lee married Sarah Tubb in Bishops Sutton, Hampshire on 1 June 1804.^[2] They had the following children:

1. Lucy Lee, christened 12 February 1806 at Alton, Hampshire^[3]
2. Elizabeth Lee, christened 30 September 1807 at Alton, Hampshire^[4]
3. William Lee, christened 1 January 1810 at Alton, Hampshire^[5]

In the 1841 England Census James & Sarah were living in "Normandy" Alton with their son William and his family.^[11]

Research Notes

The 1841 England Census indicated that Sarah was from Hampshire. Although there were other possible baptisms in Hampshire for Sarah Tubb about the same time, the Bishops Sutton baptism was selected as that was the location of her marriage.
