We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
Hi Donna, thank you for participating in the KIA at the Battle of Shiloh Challenge for February. There were 510 Soldier profiles created during the Challenge.
Donna (Tucker) Baumann created 36 soldier profiles in the February 2023 US Civil War Project KIA at the Battle of Shiloh Challenge.
The March Challenge will be to create profiles for the Union soldiers who died while POW's in the Andersonville Prison.
Thank you for participating in the January 2023 USBH Connecting Challenge and helping us create 6960 profiles. It was one of our biggest months of all time! Our new total is 174,667.
All first-time participants in 2023 can add the 2023 participant sticker to their profile. Connecting Challenge Stickers
The January Connect-a-Thon is coming up shortly, 8 AM EST, Friday January 13th to 8 AM EST Monday, January 16th.
The rules are simple. You need to start from an existing profile and add family to it, parents, children. (If you have siblings to add, add the parents first.) It must have at least one source.
You get a point for each profile you create. You do not have to use the challenge tracker or count--the system will do it automatically. Avoid creating profiles for living people as they will not count.
To get to know your team mates and make sure you can get into Discord and our team chat, try posting a picture of something in your home town without any explanation. And, the others can try to guess where it is. This is just for fun and not required!
If you don't want to use Discord or have problems with it, you can send a pm to either Lucy or me with any questions.
Wow, even with our challenge tracker issues Mid-Atlantic Part Deux had credit for sourced 1,503 profiles and Mid-Atlantic US was credited with sourced 1357 profiles. Thanks for being part of Team Mid-Atlantic.
We hope you can join Team MidAtlantic for the 2022 Source-a-thon. It will start 8 am EDT on Friday, September 30th and end at 8 am on Monday, October 3rd. The Source-a-thon is different from the Connect-a-thon in that we will be working on existing profiles. There are links on our team page to lists of unsourced profiles: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Team_New_York

Also different is that most of the prizes given out at the hang outs are donated by members so there are a wide variety. If you would like to look at what has been donated so far or to donate a prize yourself:
Thank you for participating in the WikiTree Challenge again, and for being one of the top bounty hunters that week!! Be sure to check out the Highlights post for Tom Cruise's week. Your efforts were appreciated.
Thanks for your work on several Sollenberger profiles - including Sollenberger-150! Our Sollenberger ONS always appreciates help on this interesting family.
Thanks so much for being a part of the Mid-Atlantic Team for the July Connect-a-thon. As a group we added 3.824 profiles to Wikitree. Hope to see you in October for the Source-a-thon.

You do not need to be available the entire time and there will be links on our page to the Needs Profiles categories .
Thanks so much for being a member of the Mid-Atlantic Team for the April Connectathon. It was a fun and productive weekend. We added 3,716 profiles to Wikitree between the two teams and had 49 people participate. Considering many of us can’t stop at just one source, we may never make the top ten, but we did great!
Mindy usually sends out a wrap up message in which she mentions how to delete from your watchlist profiles you do not want to continue to manage. Can I make a request, wait until tomorrow before you do this, and then can you check your suggestion list and see if there are any typos that need to be corrected. We don’t want to add to the data doctors’ work.

We’ve started the January challenge here: January Connecting Challenge. We are working toward a goal of 150,000 total profiles in 2022.
Donna (Tucker) Baumann created 214 new profiles during the December 2021 US Black Heritage Project Connecting Challenge.
Hi Donna, I noticed you have been adding the USBH project box instead of the African-American sticker to several profiles. The correct code should be--African-American Sticker--inside the squiggly brackets. Thanks! Emma

Hello Donna! We’re putting out a call to all past USBH Connecting Challenge participants. We are only a few thousand profiles away from meeting our goal of 50,000 new profiles for 2021. I hope you’ll be able to join us by adding some new profiles in December. They sign up post is here:
I just wanted to say thank you so much for your work on my Hall and Richardson lines. I checked to see how we are related, and now I know why you chose that line. Thank you cousin!
Hi Donna, I'm still kind of new, so I don't feel confident about joining any projects, just yet. I was moved by the heroic survival story of the Titanic's chief baker, so I made him a profile. After trying to find a Titanic project, I finally found it, so I'd like to pass this onto you so that you or someone you know on the team can add the project sticker (I still have difficulty remembering how to make stickers), refine it, add more, etc.
Thank you for checking, you are right, I didn't have a source listed for that connection. I updated his profile to include another source and a research note. Obviously vital records would be best to prove the connection, but the SAR application seems a good secondary source to base the connection on until it can be proven further or disproven. If you disagree, I completely understand.
The tree gets stronger every time we question things and add more sources to prove or disprove the connection.
AND I'm seeking living direct-line male descendants for DNA purposes. I have a theory about Calvin's origins (see his profile) that require DNA analysis to prove/disprove.
Thank You for your work on Week 11 of the WikiTree Challenge, especially for the work you did on our profile of the week Eleanor Martha (Hobbs) Welty (1836-1918). Here is a special sticker that you can add to your profile.
Donna worked on the best profile of the week during week 11 of The WikiTree Challenge

I merged the two versions of Armstead Moffett and added sources from FamilySearch and a short biography. There are a few things I should have fixed in the way his biography displays. Hopefully I will have a few more minutes tonight. If not, feel free to finish editing.
IÂ’m checking in with all Titanic Project Members to introduce myself and see how you are and what you are working on. IÂ’m Lizzie and IÂ’m honoured to be looking after the project in the role of coordinator. Please let me know what you are working on and if you need anything from me.
Looking forward to moving the project forward with you
Donna, every contribution to WikiTree improves the quality of our Shared Tree. The Appreciation Team thanks you for all your efforts by making more than 1,000 contributions during the month of September.
I see the problem. The project has no current leader and the project coordinator has been out since March. I led this project for a good while. What can I help you with?
Donna, thank you for each of your more than 1000 contributions to our Shared Tree for the month of August 2019. All of your work makes our Tree all that much better.
Thanks so much for participating in the April Connectathon and being part of the Mid-Atlantic Team.
