Hello, I'm Doug Tucker and my ancestor Thomas Tucker father of Thomas Tucker who married Margret Harbert was born and died in Norfolk county Virginia. Norfolk records show that the family came there in 1637 and had no connections with the Maryland Tuckers. My YDNA tests to date have matched none of the Maryland Seely Tucker group. Thomas Tooker married Edy Hantinge 1640 in Norfolk. Land records make it very easy to follow this family in Norfolk. The couple had two sons, Thomas Tucker who died 1677 in Norfolk and Robert Tucker who died 1698 in Norfolk. Robert and wife Mary had Thomas Tucker who died and left a will Norfolk 1734/6. His son Thomas Tucker born in Norfolk 1709 per tithes married Margaret Harbert and migrated to Edgecombe North Carolina. He was the father of Thomas, Willoughby, Cuziah and Elizabeth Tucker. Seeley Tucker family please stop mixing these lines. Find males to take a YDNA test and discover your true lineage. Thank you, Doug

I agree that "Thomas Tucker, Jr." (Tucker-796) is not the son of Thomas Tucker (Tucker-2160). Thomas T. Tucker (Tucker-2158) of Anne Arundel County, Maryland is who I entered as the son of Tucker-2160.
