DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

Hello Leslie and Duane,

I have been corresponding with a Tucker researcher and DNA Group Project Admin. He wants to do some work on WikiTree regarding the DNA group project.

He sent me some notes about this profile, "The Thomas Tucker that married Margaret Harbert was born in about 1709 in Norfolk Co., VA, wrote his will in 1778 in Nash Co., NC and it was probated in 1781. His will list four children, Willoughby, Thomas, Elizabeth and Keziah. This Thomas Tucker (ca. 1709 VA - 1781 NC) has multiple suspected descendants that are participants at the Tucker Surname Project and are members of the TTT DNA Group.

Two of the three additional children listed as sons of Thomas Tucker and Margaret Harbert, George and Moses, have descendants that are participants of the Tucker Surname Project and members of the CCC DNA Group. I think Daniel could be their brother but I am not sure. Their parents were a different Thomas Tucker (ca. 1713 to 1723 - ca. 1818 to 1828 GA) and Margaret (maiden name unknown)." - Did we have a bad merge? Is this a conflation of two families?

I plan to work with him to update the information on this profile to bring it in line with the Tucker Surname Study and DNA group Project lineages and information. Mags

I am doing further research but it does look as though there are two different families combined here - don't know if it happened here or over at Ancestry with the GEDCOM import. Getting all the ducks in a row so we can separate them and hopefully connect Thomas, b. 1709 to his family.

There does not appear to be any other Thomas with the correct information for him on WikiTree. New Profile created for Thomas Tucker, b. 1609 Thomas Tucker. Before I disconnect the wife and attach her to the new profile - OR do the same with his four children, giving you time to see the notes and information on this. Look forward to hearing from you. Hey Jo, I haven't looked at this in a while and out of town. He does seem to be on the right track.
