Biography

Edith Winifred was born on 5 January 1896; she was the daughter of Edward George Curlewis Tucker and Mary Ellen (Cawood) Tucker.

She was 18 years old when she married Charles James Grandin, a 23 year old carriage builder on the SA Railways, on 5 September 1914 in Durban's St Paul's Church.^[1]
