John Robert Tucker was born 18 January 1768 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He was the son of Wood Tucker and Milley Harper.

He married Ann/Anna Reese about 1790 in South Carolina.[1]

Research Notes:

Records show John Robert Tucker most often used his middle name. His father, Wood Tucker, mentioned his children in his Will of 7 May 1784, Will Book A1, page 147; H Hampton Ord for Camden District, South Carolina. Wood referred to his son as "Robert."

Ancestry trees have assigned a John Tucker that married Sarah Smith as the son of Wood Tucker. Research shows Wood Tucker's son was John Robert Tucker and he married Ann Reese.
