Robert was born about 1798 the son of Robert Tucker and Mary Wells. He married Elizabeth Glenn, and had children Elizabeth Meek, Amanda Coker, Robert Taylor, and Mary (Polly) Barnes. He died in Sugar Loaf Township, Carroll, Arkansas in 1847.
Parents' Robert and Mary Wells Tucker had children who married into the family of John and Abigail Rogers Glenn. The children who married into the Glenns included sons' Matthew, Edward, George, Aulden, Wyatt, Robert and daughter Catherine Tucker.
The Tucker and Glenn families resided in Pendleton District, South Carolina, now known as Pendleton, Anderson, South Carolina.
The Tuckers migrated into Lincoln, Tennessee shortly before 1820. This area border Limestone, Alabama, where the Glenn family resided before 1820.
Abigail Rogers Glenn was from the Choctaw Nation. Some descendants of her children who married the Tuckers, eventually migrated into Indian Territory, to claim their Choctaw heritage in a defined court case.
This subsequent case known as Glenn - Tucker, et al, versus the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations, began in 1877 in the Choctaw and Chickasaw Citizenship Court of Claims.
Robert's birthdate unknown, and has been approximated.
Robert may have been in the War of 1812, with noted brothers' Lemuel and Matthew.
Robert resided with father Robert Tucker on the 1820 Lincoln, Tennessee Census. He then purchased land in 1827 in Franklin, Tennessee. Franklin is adjacent to Lincoln County, Tennessee, where Robert previously resided on the 1820 Census with father Robert Tucker, Sr.
Robert migrated into Missouri Territory before 1832, and the birth of son Robert Taylor Tucker-18898 and daughter Mary (Polly) Tucker-20789 Barnes.
Robert is documented as residing in Carroll County in 1842, when spouse Elizabeth Glenn's mother Abigail Rogers resides with them. This is from subsequent Choctaw - Chickasaw Citizenship Court Records, pertaining to the Tucker and Glenn families. (source "The Tuckers of Tuckers Hollow", page 6).
He is documented on Carroll County Tax lists for years 1844 - 1847. Tax lists for the noted years of 1842, 1843, 1848, and 1849 are missing. (source "The Tuckers of Tuckers Hollow", page 6).
Brother Edward Wells Tucker-2007 also resided in Carroll County, Arkansas.
Daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) Tucker-18903 Meek is connected to Robert's brother Edward Wells Tucker-2007, thru son John Bud Tucker-2006, in Southern Commissions Claims Testimony, in which he also references the Meek family she married into. (see daughter Elizabeth's research notes).
Robert is also reported to have resided in Dade County, Missouri.
Robert died between 1847 - 1848 in either Carroll County or Bull Shoals, Marion, Arkansas. He is buried in Tuckers Hollow, Bull Shoals, Marion, Arkansas. (source "The Tuckers of Tuckers Hollow".
