JOHN W. TUDOR, FORMER HOMER DRUGGIST, DIES The Homer Enterprise Friday, April 5, 1963, p 1
HOMER – CC- John W. (Bill) Tudor, 82, of Paxton, who was a druggist in Homer from 1900 to 1942, died March 30 at the Greenbrier Nursing Home in Champaign, where he had lived since Feb. 26.
Funeral services were conducted April 2 at the Jeanes Funeral Home in Homer. Rev. Glen Sims of the Paxton Methodist Church officiated and burial was in Homer GAR Cemetery.
Mr. Tudor was born at Homer June 19, 1880, son of John A. and Mary McCoy Tudor. He was graduated from the Purdue University School of Pharmacy in 1900. He then went to work at his father’s drug store at Homer, which he later owned and operated until 1942 when he retired and moved to Paxton.
He was preceded in death by his wife in February. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Smith of Fithian, and a grandson, Philip of Decatur. (transcribed by Homer Historical Society)
