From a Rootsweb profile[1]"There is as yet no documentary proof that Sussannah is James's daughter. However, there were no other Tuffin families documented in Herring Neck at the time, and James had five young girls living with him in at the time of the 1836 census. Taken together, these circumstances lead me to believe that Susannah, who was married in Herring Neck, was his daughter."
