It will be recalled that Henry Tuggle, Jr. (16), s/o Henry Tugwell (6) and his first wife, Mary Baskett, b in Middlesex about 1699, died there 14 March 1733, leaving a will which was probated but is lost. According to the will of his father and the Register of Christ Church Parish, he left three sons - John (43), Henry (44), and James (45).
Mary, widow of Henry Tuggle, Jr., m as a second husband in 1734 Daniel Baskett of Middlesex, a first cousin to her late husband. The last order in Middlesex regarding this family was entered 5 April 1737 (1732-37 Midx. Orders 30): "It is ordered that Daniel Baskett deliver the estate of Henry Tuggle, Jr., dec, into the hands of George Chowning and John Kidd or give counter security" [George Chowning was the husband of Martha, a sister of Henry Tuggle, Jr., and John Kidd was the husband of Rebecca, a sister of Mary (Godbey) Tuggle].

  1. John Tuggle, 1724-1793, married Mary Houchens.
