Alexander Tulloch of Gould Square, Minories, a commissioner for the Affairs of Taxes for the parish of St James, Westminster, was mayor of Winchelsea. He was an early subscriber to the influential London periodical the Quarterly Review.
Tulloch died 23 May 1832, in Charles Street, St. James's, aged 79. His wife died at Ayr, a few months later, on 1 October.
In 1818 his daughter, Jane, married G. W. Pauli, of Charing Cross. In 1821, his eldest daughter, Margaret Ann, married Henry Farnell, solicitor, of Holland House, Isleworth. His two sons, colonels Alexander and John Tulloch, C. B., were in the service of the East India Company.
