Ivy Hilda Tunks was born about 1909 (calculated from her age at marriage in 1928 (19 years). The Anglican Parish Register entry for her marriage in 1928 shows she was a native of Maclean (in northern New South Wales) and a daughter of Walter Tunks and Ellen Elizabeth (born Basson or Casson?).

She married Hilton Roy Schipp (1906-1988) at St Pauls Bankstown on 9 May 1928.^[1] Roy was 22 years old and Ivy 19 years old. Roy's sister Rachel Fazey and her husband Fred Fazey were witnesses. Ivy was living in Bourke Street, Darlinghurst prior to their marriage. After her marriage, she was known as Ivy Schipp.

Roy and Ivy Schipp had two children - a son and a daughter.^[2]

By 1933, the couple had returned to Maclean where they were living in Church Street. They remained in Church Street until at least 1943. Later, they moved to River Street Maclean. They were living in Maclean when Roy's mother died in 1949.^[3] They moved to Boggabri in 1952 and were living in Boggabri when their daughter married in March 1953.^[4] Later, they returned to Sydney, living in Bondi (1958) and later in Bexley North, a suburb south west of the Sydney CBD.^[2]

Roy died aged 81 years on 10 Jan 1988.^[2][5][6] His remains were cremated at Woronora Memorial Park.^[7]

Ivy passed away on 28 Jul 1995. Her remains were cremated at Woronora Memorial Park and ashes taken.^[8]
